Katt

“Leese, are you okay girl?” I asked Je’leese as she sat on the floor in the room where Ginny, GiGi, and Christen were all sleeping.

“No Katt. I killed her and she was pregnant. So that means I killed an innocent baby. What if that baby was for Giovanni?”

“Je’leese, stop thinking about that. I’m pretty sure Gee was not that stupid to even fuck with that girl without a condom on.”

“Yeah, that’s what I keep telling myself but what if the police was to find out I killed her? I’ll go to jail, Katt, my babies will grow up without their mommy,” She said with tears in her eyes as she looked down at GiGi and Ginny.

“Je’leese, girl please stop tripping. You know that’s not going to happen. I’m pretty sure the guys made sure that nothing will come back to you. So stop tripping, and lets head back downstairs.

When we got back downstairs, everyone looked up at Je’leese, including the person who I knew Je’leese didn’t want to see right now. Rose.

“Are you okay girl? You look like you were up there crying,” Rose asked.

“Leesy baby, what’s wrong?”

“Giovanni, please don’t call me baby right now,” Je’leese said as her cell phone rang, and she walked into the kitchen to answer it.

I was really glad the kids were too busy watching Frozen to hear what was being said between their parents. I knew they would have some questions as to why their mother didn’t want their father calling her baby, especially lil’Gee.

A week later, everyone was at the airport saying goodbye to Charles and Renee before they got on their plane back to Detroit.

“Man, ma I’m gone miss you and pops,” Christopher said as he hugged his mama and daddy.

“Boy, you’re in here acting like you won’t see us in a few weeks time. You’ll be up there in no time, so stop all of that crying,” Renee said as she hugged all the kids, then hugged both myself and Je’leese. “And you listen to me. I want both of you and Gee to take care of each other and don’t be down here with all of that dang on fighting neither.”

“I won’t. Everything will be fine. I’ll be my usual cool, calm, and collected self,” Leese said smiling.

“No, she not, ma. You know the minute y’all get on that plane she’s going to try and fight me but you know the minute she do, I’ll be calling you,” Gee said wiping the smile off Je’leese face.

“I’m not playing with neither one of y’all. Y’all really need to get y’all selves together for the sake of them babies. They need both of their parents in their lives and not always fighting and going at each other throats.”

“We’re good, ma. I promise you. She’s just upset mad right now. She’ll get over it. I just hope she gets over it soon.

Over the next few days, I noticed Je’leese was spending a lot of her time at the shop than at her home.
